Berlin, 14 Jan 2011: A photovoltaic (PV) power plant was fully commissioned on December 28, 2010 in Frankenförde in the rural German district of Teltow-Fläming. vogt solar GmbH was assigned by Sunspa 2 GmbH to be the general contractor for all services from project development to turnkey construction on the Frankenförde PV plant.
Crucial in the acceptance of vogt solar’s bid was the focus on optimizing of the cost effectiveness of the project through precise adjustment of the solar power generator to local conditions, and minimizing system losses.
Despite the early onset of winter the Frankenförde PV power plant was completed within two months and on time. vogt solar assembled 12,096 modules and two solar inverter stations on the 6.5 ha site. Only quality German products were used and all the work was assigned to local companies. The completed plant will have a total output of 2.8 MWp and will meet the annual electricity requirements of around 700 households, saving 1,300 tonnes of CO2.
