We are the citizens of Hopenhagen

On 7 December, leading politicians from 192 countries will gather in Copenhagen for the United Nations Climate Change Conference to decide our planet’s future.

This UN climate change conference is, one can say, the last, decisive chance for all governments to agree a practical and effective plan for reducing greenhouse gases – and for giving our planet and humanity a hopeful future.

Let’s turn Copenhagen into Hopenhagen: the climate summit of hope.

Hopenhagen aims to create a global community, setting politicians on the right path for making the right decisions.

Hopenhagen also embodies a promise: that overcoming the global climate crisis will at the same time lead us out of global recession.

Many of us have already signed the United Nations climate change petition.
