During the course of a questionnaire survey held in summer 2008 on behalf of the Senate for Economics, Technology and Womens Issues in Berlin, small and medium-sized enterprises were asked to reveal the structure of their workforces and the criteria and principles on which their human resources policies are founded. On completion of the survey, a selection was made of the 11 companies whose individual human resources concepts are most strongly committed to the promotion of diversity.
